Wildland Wisdom
I'm so glad you're interested in my children's book. My first picture book, inspired by a real moment seen while exploring the outdoors, is in production as you read this - how exciting!

"Milo's Big Try" - a tale of a tenacious field mouse who tries and tries again - is seeded in real life and encourages readers to not only follow his "try until you succeed" mindset but also to lean in closely to nature to see what lessons it can teach us. This will be the first of what I hope are many children's books of Wildland Wisdom, encouraging character building through the beautiful and potent example of nature.

How I Became An Author
I never set out to become a children’s book author; I've done a lot of unique things in my life from being an event producer to a wedding photographer but I've never considered myself particularly "artsy" enough to be a writer. But motherhood has a funny way of planting seeds you didn’t know were there. "Milo’s Big Try" was inspired by a tiny field mouse I once watched, determined and trying (and trying again) to reach the top of a flower for its seeds. Somewhere in that quiet moment, I saw a reflection of the lessons I want my children to carry: perseverance, wonder, and the courage to keep trying. Years later, I just recently realized I had once put “write a children’s book” on a vision board my husband and I made long before my babies were born — and here I am, doing just that. It’s a reminder that beautiful, unexpected things bloom when you slow down long enough to notice the little stories life is already telling you and when you have the courage to simply try.
